"Of course the world didn't stop spinning in between 2018 and the EF's founding in 2025. One ever evolving conflict took, and still takes place, in Turkey, Syria and Iraq.
'Operation Olive Branch' wasn't the last of turkish aggression against the Kurds in Syria. Claiming to secure their borders against 'kurdish terrorists', the turkish military pressed eastwards.
While the syrian-kurdish militias where motivated to defend their territory, their long term chance against the turkish military was obviously minimal.
In the believe that the turkish government would not dare invade Iraq and its kurdish territories, the militias in Syria and the kurds in the autonomous Kurdistan in Iraq worked together to consolidate their territory within Iraq.
Thus, by September 2019, the turkish military occupied the north of Syria, territories that were formerly controlled by kurdish militias. 
Nevertheless, the kurds didn't lose hope of a possible retaliation against Turkey in the years to come.

Despite having reached its goal of border security, the turkish military did not leave the syrian territories.
To this day, against the vote of the United Nations, the northern syrian territories remain under turkish occupation.

In light of the development in the area the European Union and Russia took to negotiations with Iraq and the autonomous Kurdistan to find a solution for the ever existent kurdish question.
And while, for now, it is only the 'minor solution', in 2022, the nations of the European Union, Russia and China officially recognized the 'Republic of Kurdistan' as a sovereign nation in its current borders.
In contrast to that, the United States of America and Iraq showed resistance towards the idea and, to this day, refuse to recognize Kurdistan as a sovereign nation.

And now? The world is still spinning. And conflict is soon to come."
